In het verleden werden de grachtenpanden Keizersgracht
399 en 401 via drie doorgangen op verschillende verdiepingen met elkaar
verbonden. In deze monumentale panden – met onder andere parallelle stijlkamers,
een nieuwe educatieve ruimte en een dubbel terras - is het mogelijk om
in wel tien tentoonstellingszalen rond te dwalen.
The Foundation is based in a 17th century canal house. The stone tablet
on the facade, with its plan of the harbour of Marseille, dates back to
the French merchant who hadthe house built in 1665. During the 20th century,
the house served as premises for several law firms.
