Bergen aan Zee

Five kilometres to the west from Bergen is Bergen aan Zee, separated from the beach and the North Sea only by a line of dunes. The village lies in the middle of the natural beauty of the Schoorl Forestry Area and the Noord-Holland Dune Reserve.
The sea has a great power of attraction all year round.
A fun day at the seaside in summer, flying kites in the autumn, a brisk walk in the winter and catching the first rays of sunshine sitting in a beach café in the spring.

In summer the village is primarily a bathing resort with a freely accessible beach with a variety of facilities and a naturist area on the northern side. This village is recommended not only for bathing but also for surfing and catamaran sailing.
In addition a marine aquarium has been established, which presents a picture of the denizens of the sea throughout the world.
