This year the Festival celebrates its 50th edition from 1 to 16 July 2016. The program will be announced on 14 April.
Montreux is situated at the foot of the Alps on the banks of Lake Geneva, in a region known for its unique climate and quality of life as "The Swiss Riviera". The town is only 90 kilometres (56 miles) from Geneva International Airport, which is served by numerous airlines.

Beyond the concerts on the main stages, the Montreux Jazz Festival developps and offers many free concerts and events, during the entire Festival.

The Music in the Park stage is one of the event’s free venues and is located in the Parc Vernex next to the Auditorium Stravinski. It is towards this stage that a public eager to discover new bands heads to immerse itself in the festive atmosphere of the open-air concerts.
