Het festival viert zijn 23e verjaardag in Barcelona van
18 t/m 20 juni. Ook Tokyo, Stockholm, Mexico DF, Kaapstad en Reykjavik
hebben hun eigen Sónar-editie. Vanaf 2013 is het Spaanse festival
verhuisd naar de Fira Montjuïc in Plaça d'Espanya, waar de
capaciteit groter is.
Spain's annual progressive music and arts festival returns to Barcelona
for three-days of cutting-edge technology, interactive exhibitions and
emerging music. It is the place to be for switched-on music fans, radical
artists and influential movers of the modern arts.

Among the latest new additions to the line-up are brand
new shows from Niño de Elche & Los Voluble, El Guincho and bRUNA
+ Wooky; artists including Alizzz, Cauto and Strand and legends such as
Underground Resistance (presenting Timeline), Booka Shade, and Mad Professor
performing with The Spanish Dub Invasion.
