Burke Museum
Seattle
The Burke Museum features changing exhibits for the general public to enjoy
on subjects ranging from current research and recent discoveries in natural
history to the finest traditional and contemporary cultural arts.
As storehouses of scientific information, museums help unravel the
complexity of the world we live in. While much has been learned, much remains
to be discovered—especially about the earth and life along the Pacific
margin. With 5 million specimens, Burke collections assure that research
and discoveries will continue for generations.
Exhibitions:
Meet Seattle's spider expert, and test your "Spider IQ."

Members of the Young Naturalists Society founded the museum in 1885 upon
